Primary school ends the 22-23 school year with different and fun activities: cultural, sports and recreational.
La Primary Stage The Lope de Vega International School has had a very varied end to the school year, among which cultural and artistic activities such as the music festival or the Ascot hat parade stood out; and sports and recreational activities such as the water party and the Olympics.
musical Festival
The music festival took place on June 16th. It began with the school choir performing classic and contemporary Spanish pop songs. Next, students who had taken music classes this year played medieval-style pieces using percussion instruments. Following them, students and teachers performed a diverse repertoire ranging from Coldplay and Beyoncé to Radiohead.

Ascot Parade
In addition to the music festival, on Wednesday, June 21st, the Primary students enjoyed another cultural activity: their own "Ascot Hat Parade." This English tradition dates back to 1977. The main element of the attire is the hat or fascinator, and its originality is key. The 5th and 6th grade students were asked by their Arts class to make their own hats or fascinators. After making them, they dressed up as if they were... “Royal Ascot Meeting” The children paraded under the watchful eyes of the preschool and primary school students. After the parade, the students themselves awarded three prizes for the best hats.

Water Festival
On the 21st, the primary school students also enjoyed a water party at the school's sports facilities. A wonderful water slide emerged from the small entrance ramp to the sports club, down which the students slid amidst laughter and expressions of joy. In addition, they played various water-related games.

Sports Olympics
The end-of-year celebrations in Primary School also included a classic event that couldn't be missed: the sports Olympics. Students participated in various athletic events. Following these, an awards ceremony was held, complete with a podium.

Hen&Stag
And, as expected, there were also some very heartfelt goodbyes. Although summer is a time for enjoyment, we know that many classmates will miss each other, and the same goes for their teachers. All the displays of affection we saw between them at the end of this school year attest to that. But, very soon, we'll be starting the 23-24 school year with energy and enthusiasm. Happy holidays!
